In which there is a most fabulous contest

My favorite illustrator, Tony DiTerlizzi, is holding a contest on his blog. His next book is Kenny and The Dragon, which stars a rabbit and his dragon friend. To celebrate the book's release in August, he's holding a 'Design Your Own Dragon' contest. The winner receives an autographed copy of Kenny and The Dragon before it hits the shelves, along with an original sketch by Tony. Needless to say, I was pretty ecstatic about the whole thing and promptly designed my own drake to enter.
Allow me to introduce you to Wyland:
Wyland doesn't breath fire, but bubbles. Embarrassed by his lack of fire-breathing skills, he sets off to find somebody who can teach him to be a proper dragon. What he learns instead is that he's not a normal every-day dragon, but a wish dragon. The bubbles he breathes are the wishes of children around the world, and only he can fulfill those wishes. He was a lot of fun to design, and even more fun to practice with coloration in Photoshop, because I need all the practice I can get with that program.

OK, first of all, we REALLY missed you at the beach. Second, if you don't win the contest, then that artist is no artist at all if he can't spot the best illustration of a dragon. I love the sketches from the zoo!!!!!! I really wish I could draw like that! You're AMA-Z-ZING!!!
