Trying something new

This is my therapy from the hype of the last two days.

I've never painted like this before, so it was a little challenging. And it's realistic. That's always challenging for me. I always have this temptation to change everything I draw into a Disney character.
The man is my character, Ethaniel. He's a guardian angel.

Ooo, I like the colors. Especially the cooler tones you put on his cheeks and such. It still feels a little Disney-esque, but looks tight nonetheless. The texture on his lips is especially nice.

I love the texture in his hair. It can be really tough to break out of your own style, I know! Way to go for it!

Yeah, I don't see you draw characters like this very much. But it is just as amazing as everything else you draw!!!!! He looks so real. It looks just like a painting you would see in a mansion or something. I LOVE IT!!!!
